I graduated two years ago, can I still apply for the Graduate Scheme?
We prefer to recruit graduates who have completed their most recent course within the last 12 months as the scheme is designed to provide an introduction to the financial markets. However, we would consider applications that do not conform to this requirement.
Does the company only interview graduates with a finance degree?
Not necessarily, we do prefer candidates with a finance or mathematical background as they have acquired business or economics theory, which is applicable to our Graduate scheme. However, we look to recruit intelligent and focused graduates therefore, we assess the background of each graduate to establish whether their skills and abilities are transferable to a career within the finance sector.
How much influence do I have over where I eventually specialise?
The Graduate scheme is a two-way process with department managers. After each business placement we will discuss your development and consider your strengths within that core business area and whether they feel that you have the necessary aptitude to join their team on a long-term basis.
